Big Brothers, Big Sisters
names '"Bigs" of the Year'
Big Brothers
Big Sisters of Sedgwick County has named its volunteers of the year. They
are: Paul Teske, matched with Tim Koziarz, Big Brother of the Year;
Anne Ethen, matched with Rita Moore, Big
Sister of the Year; Richard and Carol Spurgeon, matched with Haushun
Norwood, Big Couple of the Year.
For the first time, the
organization also announced volunteer honors for its school-based
program and for its high school student program. Helen Binford,
matched with Heather Atherton, was the school-site-based Big of
the Year. Vincent Cheng, matched with Brandon Jones, was named the
High School Big of the Year.
Bigs of the Year are selected based
on their years of service, volunteerism with the organization and
their case managers' evaluation of their service.
